Signed by famous maker, "Hunzinger NY, Pat Mar 30, 1869," this remarkable Victorian chair is fascinating.
Solid walnut is turned to simulate bamboo showing "exotic" Japanese inspiration of the time, the finish is in very fine condition. There are various repairs and touchups over the years - see photos. Cut velvet upholstery is clean and unworn.
Measurements of this extraordinary American made antique furniture is 20" wide, 23" deep, 32" tall and the seat is 15" high.
