A charmingly carved Victorian period side or hall chair was from the Appleton, WI home of famous author, Edna Ferber, known for Showboat, Cimarron and Giant.
- 1890s antique furniture signed "Phoenix Chair Co." of Sheboygan, WI
- Carved quarter sawn oak
- Old varnish has been cleaned and preserved with a coat of clear finish
- Minor mars, losses, & shrinkage separations from age - see photos
- Later back brace for durability
Size is 16" wide, 19.5" deep and 39" tall. Seat is 15.5" deep and 18" high.
