Victorian Antique Mahogany Near Queen Size 2 Pc Marble Top Bedroom Set #29244

A spectacular Victorian period bedroom set was masterfully hand carved of solid mahogany about 1875. The large dresser has a dressing mirror and marble tops. The bed is shown with a standard queen size mattress which does not fit. The interior of the bed measures 58" x 79" and a standard queen size mattress is 60" x 80," so this bed should have a custom built mattress and spring unit, available at most bedding stores.

The restored satiny finish is in extremely fine condition, preserving a few mars at the edges for a little antique character, see photos. Raised and carved panels are exquisite.

On the bed, wood cross supports as shown are included. Size is 66" wide, 86" long, the headboard is 81" tall and the footboard is 33" high.

On the chest, a beveled mirror has a few scratches and a little "smoke" to show its age. Drawers have round "pin and cove" dovetail joints of the era, original brass pulls have embossed lion heads. The marble has been polished and given a protective finish. Size is 53" wide, 20" deep and 7 1/2" tall.
