An 1880 era Victorian bookpress is heavy cast iron, and was used to flatten a book after its pages were folded and sewn.
The large wheel and screw pressed a plate against the book. American made, the original finish is worn and charmingly rusted.
Size of this bookbinder's press is 18" long, 11" wide and 13" tall.
