Dating from the Victorian Eastlake era, where wealth was displayed by having fine furniture, this dresser or chest has a gorgeous marble top and carved crest.
- 1870s American made antique furniture
- Missing label but matches other "Appes, Eggers & Co of Chicago" pieces
- Walnut with lovely walnut burl accents and carved floral motifs
- Old varnish has been cleaned and preserved with a coat of clear finish
- Minor mars, surface irregularities & shrinkage separations from age - see photos
- Brass hardware is original
- Drawers have pin & cove joints
- No keys
- Swivel beveled mirror has a bit of "smoke" and a large scratch - see photos
- Repaired marble top has been polished & sealed for protection
- Marble, mirror & crest are removable
Size is 44" wide, 20" deep and 84" tall.
