An authentic late Victorian or Eastlake period partners desk has a bank of drawers and a door on both sides for two "partners."
This solid walnut furniture with geometric moldings is characteristic of the period, and dates from about 1885. The saddle leather top has lots of variation and character.
All drawers have hand-cut dovetails, most of the keys are handles only because most of the locks do not work. The satiny finish is excellent on this nostalgic American antique, from an era when partners could work close together.
Dimensions are 54" long, 39" wide, 31" tall and the kneeholes are 25" tall and 25" wide.
