This magnificent Aesthetic Movement pier or hall mirror dates from the late Victorian or Eastlake period. Marvelously detailed with delicate roses, ferns and grapevines spiraling up the side columns, the gold finish is very good.
The separate base has an original Tennessee Red marble top, which has a few scratches and stains.
There is "smoke" and losses to the silvering on the original plate glass mirror.
Grandly imposing, this mirror would have added light and sparkle to a Victorian foyer or stair landing.
Measurements of this splendid antique furniture are 3'7" wide, 17" deep and 9'11" tall.
