A solid brass 1880's fireplace coal hod or hopper from France has a tin liner. Made to rest on the hearth, the elegant filigree trim has a loss on the front left, see photos.
This antique hearth accessory has a holder on the back where a scoop could be stored.
Size is 13" wide, 18" deep and 18" tall including the embossed handle.
