This richly carved oak executive desk set from the 1950's has lost its signature, but we recognize it as a distinctive design by famous maker, "Romweber of Indiana." Three pieces include a side cabinet and waste basket or plant holder.
Romweber of Indiana made furniture for the White House, many celebrities and corporate offices.
The renewed finish is in excellent condition on this American made vintage library or executive suite office furniture.
Deep drawers have solid oak dovetailed sides. The desk has a file drawer and two pull out shelves. Corners are carved with a vine motif, the banded top has walnut pegs and "butterfly" joiners. On the front are two cabinets and bookshelves. This vintage furniture is exceptionally detailed with shaped raised panels.
Desk measurements are 5' wide, 38" deep, 30 1/2" tall and the kneehole is 30" wide and 24 1/2" high. Side cabinet size is 20" wide, 16" deep and 30 1/2" tall, the waste basket or plant holder is 13" square and 13" tall.
