An 1890's bedroom set includes a queen size bed and dresser or chest in richly figured solid cherry with mahogany panels of burl like natural grain, called "plum pudding" in England.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this two piece American made antique furniture set. Raised panels and deeply sculpted moldings are beautiful.
The bed has been expertly adapted to fit a standard modern queen size mattress and spring unit, the demonstrator pair in photos is 18" thick together. Wood support slats as shown are included.
Measurements are 66 1/2" wide, 88" long, the headboard is 71" tall and the footboard is 34" high.
The dresser has a graceful bow front and brass hardware. Large drawers have round "pin and cove" dovetail joints of the era. Size is 50" wide, 25" deep and 31 1/2" tall.
