A diminutive footstool was hand carved in England of wormy fruitwood around 1830.
Genuine woven horse hair upholstery has worn later braid around the edges. The old finish is very well preserved on the graceful and sturdy frame. This tiny furniture was important to keep feet above a cold stone floor before the days of central heating.
Size is 12" wide, 8" deep and 8" tall.
