A small throne, bench or stool was hand hewn from a giant block of teak-like hardwood about 75 years ago. This traditional design is from the Asante or Ashanti people of Ghana, formerly the Gold Coast
The old finish has nice antique patina and has been waxed and buffed. This antique furniture has intricate carved folk motifs. Every stool like this is uniquely carved for the soul of the person who uses it.
Size is 20" wide, 11" deep and 15" tall.
