A solid oak chest was made for a machinist's tools, and would make an interesting collector's file or jewelry chest as well.
The original finish is well preserved with just enough wear, losses and mars for some antique character, and has been waxed and buffed. Eight drawers plus the top compartment have old, deteriorated cork liners, and could be relined if desired.
Worn nickel hardware is original on this 1915 era American made cabinet. There is no key for the lock, which is signed "Corbin." When the top is opened, the raised panel front cover releases, and slides in underneath the drawers.
Size is 21" wide, 10" deep and 18" tall when closed.
