Artfully hand carved in France about 1890, a single door armoire has gently curved sides and an original shaped and beveled mirror door. Delicate details carved in solid mahogany are set off with shimmering diamond matched panels.
The original finish is in extremely fine condition with various mars and dents for antique character, see photos. Waxed and buffed, all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
The original door lock still works. The 18" deep interior is oak and birdseye maple with shelves that are adjustable on wooden supports. A closet pole could be installed as desired. There is a hand dovetailed drawer as well.
This historic furniture can be disassembled for moving, the door has lift off hinges.
Measurements are 48 1/2" wide at the crown, 24" deep and 8' 2" tall.
