This Georgian period walnut tall chest or highboy from about 1780 is in beautiful condition with extensive restorations. An invoice from 1962 shows new bracket feet with hand cut dovetails.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture. Drawers have flame grain fronts, hand cut dovetail joints, chamfered bottoms and rose cut handmade nails. Brasses are original with a few replaced parts.
The top three drawers are "locked" and have finger releases underneath. Dovetail joints are visible on top, the back is hand planed.
Measurements are 41 1/2" wide, 24" deep, and 58 1/2" tall.
