A Renaissance style library desk was hand crafted in Austria about 1880 of mahogany, and is all original in remarkably fine condition.
The golden finish shows some fading, mars and wear for a little antique character, see photos. Hand cut dovetail joints are visible on the drawers and back side, brasses are original. Locks have no keys on this elegant historic furniture. Book compartments are charmingly asymmetrical.
Measurements are 42" wide, 21" deep, 54" tall and the work surface is 29" high.
