Crafted to hold spools of thread for sale in a general store about 1870, this four drawer spool cabinet is also useful for collectors or as a jewelry chest. Solid oak with incised "spoon" carving, the top panel is maple.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique countertop furniture, which shows Eastlake influence. Drawers have tiny "finger" cut dovetail joints and original brass "pumpkin" knobs.
Size is 23" wide, 16" deep and 16 1/2" tall.
