A classic early 1900's French writing desk or "bureau plat" is inlaid genuine rosewood with a leather top and original cast bronze mounts and gallery around the top.
The renewed finish is in very fine condition on this antique European library furniture. There are dings and mars to the tooled leather top as shown. A key is a handle only, drawer locks do not work. Drawers have solid oak sides with hand cut dovetail joints.
Measurements are 51" long, 29" deep, 30" tall and legroom is about 24" underneath.
