A richly carved Georgian highboy or chest on chest from around 1825 was hand crafted of solid walnut with a grapevine, sculpted figure and claw and ball feet.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving warm patina plus losses, shrinkage separations from age and various restorations over the decades, see photos. American made, square nails and wooden pegs are authentic. Every surface has hand planing marks. The pierced crest and figural sculpture are amazing on this antique furniture.
Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints. Brass hardware is over 100 years old but not original. The upper section is a separate piece.
Overall measurements are 46" wide, 25" deep and 92" tall.
