This authentic Hepplewhite period chest or dresser was hand made of solid cherry about 1780 in New England.
The old finish is not original, but has warm antique patina, preserving stains, mars and restorations. There are also shrinkage separations from age for a little character, see photos.
Graduated drawers have inlaid stringing, hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms. Brasses are over 100 years old but not original on this American made historic furniture.
Measurements are 40" wide, 20" deep and 38" tall.
