A diminutive secretary desk from about 1830 was hand crafted in England of solid wormy beech hardwood. The drop front rests on pull out supports.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving stains and mars for antique character. There are old restorations near the hinges. Drawers, even the tiny ones inside, have beautiful small hand cut dovetail joints. Brasses are around 100 years old but not original. The key for the front is a handle only, the lock does not work on this historic Georgian furniture.
Size is 24" wide, 19" deep, 37" tall and the writing surface is 30" high.
