A Sheraton style U-shaped server, sideboard or "hunt board" was traditionally used for cold suppers of cheeses and smoked meats after hunting. This mahogany example from the 1940's has drop leaves. A center well for bottles to use as a bar could be fitted with a glass top for serving if desired.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, fine carved detailing and the lower spindle gallery are graceful. There is no signature on the sturdy frame of this American made vintage furniture.
Size when closed is 55" wide, 29" deep and 30" tall, with the drop leaves raised, depth is 42."
