A marvelous "tavern" table from the 1760's was hand carved of solid curly maple in New England during the Georgian period. The top is two wide planks, the bottoms have original rough saw marks.
The restored finish is in excellent condition with glowing patina, preserving mars, warps and shrinkage separations from age. Joints are secured with carved wooden pegs on this American made antique country furniture. Height was typical for playing cards in the 18th Century.
Measurements are 36" long, 28" wide and 26 1/2" tall.
