A classical mahogany bookcase from about 1910 has original sliding doors with wavy glass panes, signed "Paine's Furniture, Boston." Shaped columns have carved Ionic capitals, the gallery has a carved shell. Shelves are adjustable.
The top has been revarnished for durability. The rest of the original finish is very well preserved with warm patina and minor mars at the edges, slight fading in places, and touchups, see photos. Locks do not work on this American made antique library or office furniture.
Measurements are 52 1/2" wide, 15" deep and 55" tall.
