A classic armoire or wardrobe was hand carved of wormy walnut in France about 1915, and has original shaped and beveled mirror doors plus a beautiful crest. Doors have a working lock.
The original finish is very well preserved, and has been waxed and buffed. All that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
There is just enough "smoke" in the mirrors to show the age of this antique furniture. Inside is a shelf that adjusts on wooden supports, more shelves or a closet pole could be added if desired.
This armoire can be disassembled for easier delivery. One of the original lift-off hinges is missing its finials, see photos. There is a panel in the back that was once cut out to accomodate a tv.
Measurements are 54" wide at the crown, 50" wide in the body, 22" deep and 98" tall, the interior is 17" deep.
