A primitive work bench from the early 1900's has a butcher block top and would make an interesting kitchen island, tv console or wine and cheese tasting table. Solid maple and pine, there are oak blocks at the ends.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made country furniture, preserving loads of stains, mars and shrinkage separations from age for antique character. The base is rugged and strong, legs are charmingly a little askew, see photos.
