A traditional Georgian Chippendale design armchair was carved of solid beech hardwood about 50 years ago with shell and claw and ball motifs. The seat is newly upholstered, and no maker's signature survives on this vintage library furniture.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, "distressed" to look antique. The frame is tight and strong with a comfortable curved back splat.
Measurements are 24" wide, 22" deep, 41" tall and the seat is 19" high and 17" deep.
