Crafted of solid figured walnut about 1825, this country Sheraton period chest or dresser has an inlaid script dedication to "Cathrine Hooly." Entirely hand crafted, there are square cut nails, pegs in the top and drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms.
The restored finish is in excellent condition with warm patina, preserving just enough mars, stains and restorations for a little antique character. Embossed brass thistle knobs appear original on this historic furniture from Ohio.
Measurements are 40 1/2" wide, 20" deep and 42" tall.
