An authentic Russian "Samovar" or tea kettle from around 1900 includes a tray, sugar bowl, cap and chimney. Solid brass, there are Cyrillic Russian inscriptions on the tray and bowl.
A hissing hot samovar was a sign of hospitality in every Russian novel, hot coals were placed in the center chimney to boil water for tea. This antique set includes the drip tray and sugar bowl.
Measurements are 16" across, 17" deep and 26" tall including the chimney extension and lid.
