An Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak bench was made for a first class railroad station waiting room about 1905, and is signed with an engraved plate, "Henderson Ames of Kalamazoo, Mich" The African animal motif upholstery is recent and in unworn condition.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this antique American made Craftsman furniture. Solid quarter sawn oak, the frame is tight and strong, reglued to serve another generation.
Dimensions are 6' long, 24" deep, 41" tall and the seat is 19" high.
