From the Victorian period about 1900, a swivel desk chair is solid oak with "pressback" carving. The seat is newly caned, the curved arms and back are comfortable.
The restored rich finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique library or office furniture. An original cast iron mechanism has adjustable height and tilt. Reglued to serve another generation, the frame is tight and strong. Ball bearing wheels are modern.
Measurements are 27" wide, 23" deep, 45" tall and the seat is 18" high as shown, adjustable upwards.
