Crafted of solid quarter sawn oak about 1910, this swivel adjustable desk armchair has comfortably curved lumbar spindles and a sculpted seat. The only signature we see is embossed on the iron mechanism, "Pat. Applied For, No. 10."
The restored deep finish is in excellent condition, preserving a few shrinkage separations for a little antique character. The frame is tight and sturdy, reglued to serve another generation. Height and tilt are adjustable on the original cast iron mechanism on this American made antique library or office furniture.
Dimensions are 23" wide, 24" deep, 38" tall and the seat is 20" high as shown, adjustable up and down.
