A nickel over brass and leather telescope from England dates to the late 1800's, signed "T. Cooke & Sons, Ltd, London & York." There is a sliding cover on the eyepiece plus a sliding sun shield at the other end. Useful for pirates, this working telescope was state of the art at the time, but is fairly difficult to focus.
This antique spyglass is 1 3/4" diameter and extends from 18" to 25" long.
