An artist's, architect's or drafting stool from about 1910 is solid ash and birch hardwood. The cast iron swivel mechanism adjusts up and down. There is a foot rest ring around the rugged base.
The restored deep finish is in excellent condition, preserving mars and wear for antique character, see photos. This is American made office or library furniture.
The seat measures 14" in diameter, adjusts up and down from 30 1/2" to 34" tall, legs are 18" across.
