Hand carved of solid cherry and poplar about 1850, this armoire, wardrobe or closet has arched paneled doors. Inside is a removable shelf with iron and wood clothes hooks, more shelves or a closet pole could be installed if desired.
The restored glowing finish is in excellent condition, preserving a few shrinkage separations from age, see photos. Brought from Ohio, the rough sawn back is attached with square cut nails.
This antique furniture does not disassemble, so care should be taken with measurements before delivery.
Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and original turned knobs, attached with wooden screws.
Size is 63" wide, 23" deep and 84 1/2" tall. The inside is 18" deep.
