A remarkable work of art, this fireplace mantel has a hand carved tableau of an American Indian with a bow, sheep, a house, and sunrise against a forest and river background. Hand carved and chiseled in high relief of solid oak about 1915, we find no artist's signature on this remarkable sculpture.
The original finish is very well preserved, the frame is mahogany on this amazing American made architectural salvage. Usable as a back bar or pass through, there are many possibilities for this remarkable antique fragment.
Measurements are 58" wide, 5 1/2" deep, 49" tall and the opening is 27" wide and 27 1/2" high.
