A Victorian period "slipper" bench with storage under the seat could also be a footstool. Solid walnut, this 1880's antique American made furniture has a padded seat.
The old finish is in very fine condition with incised carving. There are minor losses at the feet, see photos.
Measurements are 15" x 13" and 17" tall.
