A Hepplewhite period maple lamp table or nightstand from the early 1800's is solid maple with a curly or birdseye grain drawer front. The top is a single wide plank with shimmering grain.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made furniture brought from Ohio, but was probably made in New England. Legs are cut from single logs of maple and are charmingly warped and the top has shrinkage separations from age, see photos.
The drawer has hand cut dovetail joints and a rough sawn hand chamfered bottom. Nails are cut square nails of the era.
Size is 20" wide, 17 1/2" deep and 29" tall.
