This five section stacking bookcase would also be useful in a bath. This antique was crafted of solid birch in the prisoners' workshop at the "Ohio State Reformatory, Mansfield, Ohio." The design is not typical, there are sliding doors in each section. Dating from about 1920, the glass panes are mostly a little wavy.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this antique American made library furniture. Books up to 11" wide and 11 1/2" tall fit in each section.
Overall size is 43" wide, 13" deep and 76" tall.
