A fascinating console table was hand carved in France of solid walnut about 1890, and has a flip top that opens to reveal a marble bar or dessert server. A shelf also flips up for serving plates or glasses.
The top and shelf have been revarnished for durability. The rest of the original finish has been waxed and buffed, so all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. There are just enough mars and stains for a little character, see photos.
Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints on this antique furniture. The marble has been polished and sealed to resist stains.
Measurements are 40" wide, 20" deep and 37 1/2" tall when closed.
