A splendid French chest or dresser could also be a sideboard, server or even a vessel sink vanity. Hand carved details, spiral columns and the shell crest are exceptional. Crafted of solid wormy walnut about 1890, there are shrinkage separations from age, see photos.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this historic furniture. The marble top has been polished and sealed to resist stains. Drawers have dovetail joints. Locks and key work and embossed pewter hardware is original.
The beveled mirror has antique "smoke" to show its age, if this is not charming, it could be replaced.
Size is 46" wide, 24" deep, 92" tall and the base is 40" high.
