This mahogany Empire style "Pembroke" table with drop leaves from about 1910 could serve as a sewing stand, lamp table or nightstand. The pedestal has carved lion paw feet and classical acanthus designs plus rope edge moldings. To face a chair for needlework, this table revolves on its base.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture. Drawers have dovetail joints, the top has richly figured grain.
Size is 21" wide with the drop leaves down, 18" deep and 28 1/2" tall, with both leaves raised, width is 38" overall.
