This richly hand carved and painted offering stand or pedestal is architectural salvage from a temple in Thailand. There is a tin "roof," and the deep sculpting is in teak hardwood.
The base of the pedestal has some fading and there are shrinkage separations over time. Age is uncertain because of the very traditional Thai workmanship, this figural piece was brought to America in 1990. For easier shipment, it can be disassembled.
Size is 40" across and 131" tall.
