An original oil painting from about 1910 depicts a young woman fetching water from a well. The signature is difficult to decipher but may be "R. Heuel," and there is a label from "Gimbels Art Gallery, Milwaukee, Wis." The barefoot girl wears an expression of saucy confidence in this antique work of art.
Overall size is 16" wide, 21 1/2" tall and 2" deep.
The canvas is undamaged and the original carved frame has deep rich bronze tones.
