A Sheraton period chest or dresser from about 1820 is mahogany with matched flame grain panels. Spiral columns and the small handkerchief or jewelry drawers on top are authentic.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving shrinkage separations from age and losses at the edges for a little antique character.
American made, drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms. The rough sawn back has square cut nails.
