Made as a workbench or desk for a watch and clock maker about 1900, this stand up or stool height desk is solid oak. A pull out "parts catcher" has a soft fabric bottom to keep errant watch parts from bouncing away. A groove on the front top also caught rolling parts, the other three sides have a gallery.
The deep finish is in excellent condition, preserving lots of losses, mars and stains for antique character. Sides and back are paneled.
Six drawers have original bin pulls, there are also two compartment for tools on this American made furniture.
Measurements are 37 1/2" wide, 20" deep and the top is 39" high including the gallery.
