A Victorian period servant or butler call box is signed "Western Electric" and the latest patent is Feb, 16, 1876. Battery operated, there is a nickel bell ringer and arrow indicators from six bell buttons around the house with hand painted inscriptions.
The carved case is maple and there are engraved signature plates. Typically mounted on a wall in the kitchen, a wood knob on the bottom "clears" the arrows.
The old finish is in very good condition on this American made antique.
Size is 8" wide, 6" deep and 16" tall.
