A fantastic French Provincial armoire or wardrobe was hand carved and hewn around 1760.
- French antique Louis XIV furniture
- Beautifully hand carved solid chestnut with leaves, grape vines, & birds
- Hand chamfered panels, diagonal cuts
- Old finish has been waxed and buffed, preserving minor mars. All that is needed to maintain the soft luster is an occasional wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
- Shrinkage separations from age - see photos
- Brass hardware is original, door mounts have embossed scenes of Christ on the cross
- Doors have a working lock & key
- Hand-pegged joints
- No key for interior drawer
Size is 57.5" wide, 25.5" deep and 81" tall.
