An Art Deco period grandfather or tall case clock from about 1920 is signed "J. Brandmann, Berlin," Germany.
The fine grained solid oak case has a restored finish in excellent condition. There is a working lock and key on the door, the lower glass is shaped and beveled, upper glass is convex.
Professionally cleaned and oiled, the brass weight driven movement keeps accurate time for eight days on a winding with pull chains. Deep resonant chimes count the hour and sound the half hour on this vintage clock. The original embossed brass dial, weights and pendulum are brass.
Measurements are 25" wide, 11 1/2" deep and 77" tall.
