Asian Antique Dowry Cabinet, Hand Made in China, Brass Mounts

A portable Asian dowry cabinet was hand crafted of ash hardwood in the late 1800's. There are hand planing marks, wooden pegs instead of nails or screws, hand cut dovetail joints and intricate brass mounts. The old finish is very well preserved, waxed and buffed so all that is needed to maintain its luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.

Size is 29 1/2" wide, 13 1/2" deep and 18" tall.
